Concessions
Scouts in 7th-12th grade are eligible to work the concessions stands at the University of Michigan games. To participate in concessions every scout must have the following prerequisites:
Concessions are a great way to offset the costs of dues, activities, troop camping and WAGGGS trips. Many of our scouts are able to earn $800-$1000 in one year to help offset their adventures. Even without the funding assistance, this early training in being a responsible, reliable worker helps our scouts acquire better jobs when they apply for their first "real" job. To learn more about participating in concessions, please email Kathy Van Buren.
- The scout is a registered in a Saline Area Troop.
- The scouts must have one adult who always works with them, and is also registered with Saline Area Girl Scouts.
- The scout must sell Treats & Reads in the fall.
- The scout commits to participating in the Cookie Sales in December.
- Both scout and adult take a training course before signing up for the first concession.
